I recently started working at a job that prefers direct deposit of payroll. This is really great because I'm the type of person who spends money if I have it on me.
Here's the thing: by having my payroll check direct deposited, and then I have an automatic transfer done from my checking account into my savings account (leaving me just a small portion of my paycheck), I don't realize how much I have that I COULD spend! I've set things up so that I have $50 per week to spend (I live at home and don't have a car, so have very few expenses) and that's all I "see" so that's all I "know"
Has worked great for the past month or so, and expect it to carry me through until school starts! Should save LOTS of money toward tuition
