Have a credit card, or two. They help with building a credit score which helps gets better rates on loans for school and later in life, if it's part of an airline rewards program or has its own credit reward program that's a bonus! You can get some pretty useful stuff by cashing in saved up points. Don't use them too much though, credit usage is reported toward the end of a billing cycle to the credit rating companies, and too much balance on your card will put a ding in your score even if you pay your bill in full every month. If you have a lot of money on your credit card, pay it off about a week early. It's a great way to raise your credit score quickly and it gives you peace of mind.
