For those who end up spending a little too much on themselves each month, set a limit for the week or month and take that amount out in cash. Only spend that cash on fun things you want to do: new clothes, nights out with friends, movies, or whatever. When you're out of that cash, you'll know it! It's all too easy to just keep swiping, and often people don't connect those swipes with their credit card or bank balances. This is a great way to prevent overspending while also having a tangible reminder (the cash in hand) of how much you've spent and how much you have left.

BONUS TIP: Keep your fun money separated from any ordinary cash you may carry by having a separate coin pouch or compartment in your wallet or purse.
