I've always been very good at saving, even while not making very much money. All I do is write down every expense that I have for the month: rent, bills, and overestimate a little on things like gas and food. Then write down what you typically make in a month, and if there's any wiggle room, you can decide on how much you're willing to save in a month. Even while working something like a fast food job in the past, I've been able to set aside 1 or 2 hundred per month.

Hopefully you'll be able to leave yourself some money to spend on yourself! Even saving 50 a month is much better than nothing. A cushion is always a great thing to have in case of an emergency.
