I believe that the best advice that I wish I received was to talk to current students, recent college graduates, and faculty members early on in my undergraduate career to learn about their experience with college finances and student loans. A great question to ask is, "What would you have done differently?". I was a first generation college student, and I didn't really know what to do or expect. If I asked others early on for advice on finances (and advice, in general), I believe that it would have helped me tremendously. Of course, I believe that I pretty much figured it out by the latter half of my undergraduate career, but the first half of my education was very stressful and difficult for me, all of which could have been avoided if I simply asked for help early on.
