I grew up in a very poor neighborhood with a lot of gang violence. My parents never had enough money to keep all of their four children fed and full. So, I decided that I was not going to live my life that way. I started working, and contributing to the household income when I was fifteen years old. The summer after I graduated from high school, I enrolled at my local Community College. From there, I have earned an Associate of Arts and transferred to a Cal State where I earned a BA and MA. I am currently working on a doctorate. I am married and have four children. I will never let my children be hungry! Education and smart choices with money are the keys to prosperity.
