After graduating from Lewis & Clark College I had not idea where I was headed. I had applied to graduate school at a few places, and I knew that I wanted to move into Higher Education and work as an administrator, but I didn't know if what office or at what type of institution. Fortunately, I was able to secure a temp position right after I graduated at Alma Mater and that position opened the door for me to apply and get a permanent job in the Admissions Office. Thanks to my leap of faith in taking the temp job, some caring mentors, and, I'd like to think, some hard work, I have been financially stable since the moment I graduated. I am using income-driven repayment and I have not felt stressed about money at all. Thank you for SALT, and Congress (I know, no-one likes Congress besides me) for making it feasible for me to pay off my loans and do something I love!
